Kundalpur Siddha kshetra is a place full of natural attractive beauty and is filled with miraculous idol of Bade Baba Bhagwan Adinath in sitting (Padmasana) posture. The statue is 15 feet in height and is a place of salvation of Antim Kevali Shridhar. Here are 63 temples of various types, among them 22nd temple is famous for Bade Baba Bhagwan Rishabhdev, the principal deity and 49th is called Jal Mandir. It is an attractive temple situated in the middle of a pond called Vardhaman Sagar. The colossus idol of Bade Baba and so many idols of Teerthankars placed here are believed to be installed between the 10th - 12th century. It is clear from the inscriptions on idols that Kundalpur (Kundalgiri) was a famous teerth kshetra during the year 1554 A.D. There are 40 temples on hill and remaining 23 in the valley. Temples No. 41 to 47 are small in size while No. 48 to 60 are big temples with beautiful spires. The warrior of Bundelkhand Maharaj Chhatrasal succeeded in capturing his lost kingdom after he visited to have the Darshan (Prayer – worship) of miraculous Bade Baba. Later, Maharaj Chhatrasal helped in reconstruction of the temple. One Mugal Emperor tried to destroy Bade Baba during the invation here. When he struck on the thumb of colossus, milk flooded out from thumb and at the same time dense flocks of honey bees attacked on invaders and pushed them to run away.
Main temple at Kundalpur is Bade Baba Adinath’s Temple. The colossus is a piece of art rare in the world and two idols of Gomukha Yaksha and Chakreshwary Devi are carved in the back. On the both sides of Bade Baba idols of Bhagwan Parsvanath 12 feet in height are installed, really magnificent and artistic. So many other Teerthankar idols are also here installed in 10th to 12th century. Images of foot of Antim Shridhar Kevali are also installed in this temple who achieved salvation (Nirvan) from Kundalgiri.
